Registrations are currently open for the Industrial AI Challenge
June 2022

Are you a university student or do you have a business and want to participate in an open innovation project?

You have until June 24 to sign-up to the second edition of the Industrial AI Challenge, the program of the Trentino Innovation Hub Foundation (HIT) dedicated to the analysis and optimization of production processes through artificial intelligence solutions.

New this year: the challenges, on which the students will work for 11 weeks, will not only be addressed by companies, but also by public administrations.

Industrial AI challenge: how the challenge works

Industrial AI Challenge is an open innovation programme in which university students work with the support of researchers, industry experts and start-ups to solve optimisation challenges or problems in one or more production processes of selected companies and public administrations. This is done through the analysis of large data sets and the creation of predictive models.

The challenge is going to take place from September 16 to December 2 2022, the day on which the final event will be held and the winning team will be awarded.

The program is a HIT initiative in collaboration with the University of Trento, the Bruno Kessler Foundation - FBK, Confindustria Trento, Trentino Sviluppo, DIH - Digital Innovation Hub Trentino Alto-Adige / Südtirol and the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Why participate in the Industrial AI Challenge

  • Benefits for businesses: companies will be able to benefit from data analysis, production of statistics, creation of predictive models and guidelines for the adoption of industrial solutions for the planning and optimization of production processes based on artificial intelligence technologies;

  • Benefits for public administrations: public administrations will be able to obtain, through participation in the Industrial AI Challenge, important performance improvements, as well as the optimization and prediction of events concerning the organization and provision of public services and procedures;

  • Benefits for students: students will have the opportunity not only to be introduced to new methodologies and apply them to concrete problems and contexts, but also to get to know leading companies in the sector and create opportunities for their professional future.
