A new state-of-the-art production facility for the production of gluten-free bread was inaugurated in the complex that hosts the BIC (Business Innovation Center) of Trentino Sviluppo.
Good news not only for people with celiac disease and intolerance to gluten, but for the entire Trentino community for which this inauguration means new jobs and local entrepreneurial strength.
The facility, inaugurated today, is to be integrated with other plants currently managed by Dr. Schär: Gourmet, a company once specialized in the production of frozen ready meals, reborn after the acquisition by the South Tyrolean company, and the Pizza Center, inaugurated on 25 September, 2015 as the result of an 11 million Euro investment, which produces daily 4,000 pizzas for celiacs, exported all over the world.
With over 3,000 square meters and 161 active employees, Borgo is becoming a real gluten-free food district.
In terms of employment, the launch of the new production line will lead to the hiring of new employees, who will be selected from the list of candidates enrolled on the local mobility lists at the Valsugana employment offices, through a collaborative project with the Employment Agency of the Province of Trento and the network of local employment services, giving preference to female employment as much as possible.
