Trentino Sviluppo will participate again this year with five startups from the local area in Smau Milano, scheduled to take place at FieraMilanoCity on October 11 and 12. With more than 50 thousand companies from all product sectors involved in its events each year, Smau is the reference platform in Italy to dialogue on innovation themes. The goal of the event, which is part of a Roadshow consisting of several stops in important European cities, is to develop business relationships, industrial and financial partnerships, open innovation projects and foster interregional and international cross-fertilization processes.
Trentino: land of innovative startups
Trentino is the province with the highest percentage of innovative startups in Italy, thanks also to the efforts and investments put in place by the public administration to stimulate the development of new tech companies. Tangible proof of this commitment are precisely the startups participating in Smau this year. Some of them were in fact born and grew with the help of the numerous acceleration and support paths made available by the various actors of the "Trentino System," such as Investor Day and Trentino Startup Valley. Others, on the other hand, are established (or have been) in Trentino Sviluppo's two technology hubs, particularly Progetto Manifattura, dedicated to sustainability, life science and sport-tech.
The 5 startups from Trentino at Smau Milan 2022
The call launched by Trentino Sviluppo was aimed this year at Trentino startups and SMEs active in two specific sectors, considered of primary importance for the development of the territory: Technologies for the environment and energy saving and Technologies for health and wellness. The selected companies are characterized by a high innovative charge, possess a product or service already industrialized and ready for the market, and are looking for industrial or financial partnerships.
