Trentino confirms itself as a reference point for sustainability and hydrogen-related energies. On Thursday 22 June in Progetto Manifattura (Rovereto), The European House Ambrosetti is holding the second working table of the "Hydrogen Community". Entrepreneurs, researchers, academics and institutions will talk about transport, infrastructure and the construction of the Hydrogen Valley in Italy.
The initiative is organised in collaboration with Trentino Sviluppo, Fondazione Bruno Kessler, H2IT - Italian Association for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells and Bureau Veritas. A visit to the SolydEra plant in Mezzolombardo is also planned at the end of the day.

2nd hydrogen working table: the programme
The working table will be held from 10.30 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. and will focus on four macro-areas:
-
Hydrogen Valley Italy (11.00 am - 12.00 noon): the needs of companies to favour the full deployment of the hydrogen supply chain and state of the art of project implementation, and future opportunities. The main companies awarded Hydrogen Valley tenders at Italian level will participate.
-
Synergies between the industrial and research system (12.00 - 13.00): the importance of creating a bridge between the industrial and research system for the implementation of industrial projects and the launch of a hydrogen-related components supply chain. Participants will include representatives of the Italian research and innovation ecosystem.
-
Infrastructure first - opportunities for Italy and Europe (2.00 - 3.00 pm): the opportunities for infrastructural development in Italy as a bridge for hydrogen imports and consumption, and opportunities for connection with European consumption hubs. Participants will include representatives from the world of transport and distribution infrastructure in Italy and Germany, as well as from the world of finance.
-
Transport - priority development area for the startup of the hydrogen supply chain and industrial competitiveness (15.00 - 16.00): transport as the first users of hydrogen to support its production in the initial phase. Representatives from leading companies in the automotive and mobility services supply chain will participate.

The 'Hydrogen Community'
It is a multi-stakeholder platform launched by TEH Ambrosetti to promote the exchange of ideas and best practices around the potential development of hydrogen as a lever of sustainability and industrial competitiveness. It aims to facilitate dialogue between companies, regulators, institutions and other stakeholders in order to facilitate the implementation of wide-ranging initiatives in Italy, contributing not only to climate sustainability, but also to the country's economic competitiveness.
The Community brings together companies such as Eni, Iveco, Lendlease, Arriva Italia, Hydac, Landi Renzo, Smart Industry, Sasol Italia, Sonatrach Italia, Agrati, Impresa Pizzarotti and Trentino Sviluppo.
Trentino and Hydrogen
Trentino, we never get tired of reminding ourselves, is an area devoted to sustainability. It is so intrinsically, due to the weight that nature (mountains, forests, lakes, streams) has on its morphology. But it is also, and above all, due to a precise desire of the institutions to focus on a model of green development, which favours and supports the work of research centres and companies that make sustainability their core business.
In this framework, hydrogen plays an important role in Trentino's decarbonisation goals:
