VRT Foundation has published its 11th call for grants entitled Science Impact 2023. The initiative is aimed at the development of projects with a high technological and innovative impact, which have a positive effect on Trentino and focus on:
- health and well-being
- the planet and the environment
- mountains and sport
The aim of the call is to facilitate, encourage and implement the application of technologies, patents, inventions, know-how and skills developed or enhanced in the province of Trento in these fields.
Science Impact 2023: call beneficiaries
The beneficiaries of the grant (i.e. the Legal Persons who may apply) are:
- University of Trento
- foundations and public and private research bodies based in the province of Trento
- startups, micro-businesses, schools, companies, benefit societies and legally constituted non-profit organisations, with legal or operational headquarters in Trentino
Applicants may submit an application if they belong to one of the following categories
- university professors and researchers, including those on fixed-term contracts, of the University of Trento and of public research bodies or institutions of Trentino
- students, including PhD students, regularly enrolled in AA 23/24 University of Trento courses
- legal representatives of foundations, startups, micro-businesses, schools, companies, benefit societies or non-profit organisations
How to apply
The total budget allocated by Fondazione VRT is EUR 250,000 and a maximum of 10 projects of EUR 25,000 each will be supported. Particular consideration will be given to the level of innovation and technology involved, the impact on people, long-term sustainability and open innovation readiness.
The deadline to apply is Thursday 16 November 2023 at midnight.
